Note: this is a HUGE picture. Download to see it full size.

The first of my promised tutorials: preparing the bait. This is how I take a store bought pony and turn it into a blank canvas, ready for sculpting, painting, or whatever else I plan to do with it. Other tutorials will be posted when I have time, but finishing ponies for the show takes precedent. If you want a tutorial on a specific aspect of customizing, please ask! I'll be hitting the major points (Bait prep, full body repaint, symbol painting, eye painting, rehairing), but anything else will only be posted if requested. Enjoy!

Do you know how to remove the cutie mark on ponies with the raised cutie mark?

Is the head-cutting any different for G4s? I have a G4 Applejack $8(NZ$) pony and I'm going to make it into a Slendermane, is it any different?

I was wondering: Do the ponies have to be re-haired to change their mane color? Would dying their mane work too?

You generally can't dye synthetic fibers without making them rough and crinkly, if you can get the dye to stick at all, especially long ones.

So glad I found this! Found an image of a pony turned into one of my favorite video game characters but it was a drawing and not an actual physical toy. My concern was figuring out how to do the hair, but I found the hair one too and will head to the thrift store and pick up some ponies!

...Or instead of doing the complicated thing with the symbol, you could paint over it.

It's not that complicated - takes about three seconds. If I'm not going to repaint the whole pony it makes more sense for me to do it this way.

Can this process work on G1's as well?
